I am but an empty cup

So this photo from my graduation popped up in my FB memories, kaya naman throwback muna.
Akalain mo yun, I met Jong 2011 when I was still a struggling college student – and him, well he was already working for X years.
Praying my worries away
Continue reading “Praying my worries away”Whenever I end up in this horrid cycle, this reminds me to be still and to embrace the “now”. I can pour all my energy thinking about tomorrow, but what good does that make? It is not going to change what’s going to happen anyway.

Vision that changes things
I honestly stopped, and was not able to think of anything.
With all the uncertainty in the world right now, ano nga ba ang gusto kong mangyari? If I’d be given that superpower, ano ang uunahin ko?
…..
Doubt kills more dreams than failures can ever do.
Yan ang sinabi nun sa preaching.
And for real, kahit anong iwas ko, tinamaan pa din ako.
How many times have I been so doubtful?
Doubtful sa sarili kong kakayahan, doubtful sa kabutihan ng mga tao sa paligid ko and as stubborn as it sounds, doubtful sa mga plans ni Lord for me.
I guess everyone’s been there. We always have more doubts than dreams.
In every dream or aspirations that we declare, how many but(s) followed? Gusto kong kumanta – pero di naman ako magaling, pero di mataas boses ko, pero wala namang makikinig …. pero …. pero…. pero x1000000…. and then without even realising it, there goes my dream down the drain.
How can we be so unsure of our own selves?
Samantalang kayang kaya natin suportahan yung ibang tao.
But why is it that when we talk about our biggest dreams, we always tend to back down? And why is it that whenever we try, we always set a limit on what we can do and what we can achieve?
…..
Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you.
Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you:
A prophet to the nations β thatβs what I had in mind for you.”
Imagine, God has said it hundreds of times in the bible – He has plans for us – holy, prosperous, hopeful.
Sa bawat libro sa bible, he never failed to give us affirmations.
……
How can we be so short-sighted pagdating sa sarili nating visions/dreams?Today, I urge myself to change the way I see things, to urge myself on how I see my future. A vision that would allow me to become who God wants me to be. I realise that as we go through different seasons in our lives, this is going to be a constant battle. But I’m reminded as well, that in each battle I win, I get closer to becoming the person God has planned me to become.
……
Isaiah 40:31
“Because I place my hope in God,
I can soar like an eagle, run and not grow weary,
walk and not be faint.”
Despite everything that’s happening around us, I am still choosing to have a vision that would take me to new heights. A vision that would focus on the positive things around me. And friend, I sincerely pray that whatever season you may be in right now, that you would also always find the will to have a vision that would encourage positivity and bring good, a vision that changes things.
